After the arrangement with his previous management naturally ended, Lewis Hamilton re-teamed with longtime confidant and close friend Marc Hynes in his management team.
Prior to their “amicable” breakup in 2021, Hynes had spent the majority of Hamilton’s career as his right-hand man. However, that collaboration is now scheduled to resume this year.
As part of his return to Hamilton’s inner circle, Hynes will be “solely focused on racing activities,” according to The Telegraph, with the Mercedes driver.
Tim Goss, Alan Permane, and Guillaume Cattelani have joined the team as chief technology officer, racing director, and deputy technical director, respectively, according to a statement released by Visa Cash App RB.
Although Goss recently left his position as technical director of the FIA with this role in mind, it was previously announced that Permane would be joining the team after the paddock mainstay left Alpine. However, he won’t be joining the team until October.
“These appointments represent a strong step forward for Visa Cash App RB,” stated Peter Bayer, chief executive of RB. Guillaume and Alan’s appointments will improve our cars’ performance on the racetrack and in terms of design and development.
“After Tim arrives in October, we will have established the essential components of a framework intended to lead us into the next stage of our adventure and guarantee the team’s sustained prosperity.”
James Vowles praised Hamilton’s approach upon joining Mercedes in 2013, but over time, he showed a different side when it came to competing for World Championships with the team.
Vowles told the High Performance Podcast, “When he joined, he had a brilliant mentality.”
