Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has declared that Pape Matar Sarr “will be involved” in Saturday’s match against Everton.
In an interview with football.london on Friday, the Spurs manager stated that the 21-year-old midfielder would play against the Toffees in some form.
Sarr had a “long trip back” following the Africa Cup of Nations, Postecoglou conceded.
Following Friday’s training session, the Tottenham manager stated that the Senegal international needed to be evaluated and that he wasn’t sure how involved he would be.
Postecoglou said, “Everyone got through the other night okay so no issues,” in response to a question regarding the most recent Spurs team news.
We haven’t really done anything training-wise because it was obviously a quick turnaround, and the guys are still recovering from that, but they all feel okay.
And Pape Sarr’s back, of course. We’ll evaluate him after training because he had a lengthy journey back. It’s safe to say he will be participating, but I’m not sure how much.
During the Africa Cup of Nations, Sarr made three appearances for Senegal, who were eliminated in the round of 16.
