It’s foolish not to invites Lil Jon and Ludacris during halftime at Super bowl LVIII says Usher

Usher is talking about his Sunday halftime show performance at Super Bowl LVIII.

The 45-year-old musician said on Thursday on Entertainment Tonight that he would be a “fool” to play his smash 2004 song “Yeah,” which features Lil Jon and Ludacris, who are “here” in Las Vegas.

“I would be a fool to not play ‘Yeah!’ let’s just start there,” Usher stated. “It would be foolish to make it all the way to Las Vegas, Jon is here, Luda’s here and not play ‘Yeah!'”

Usher recently discussed having to condense a 30-year career into 13 minutes in remarks about his next show.

Usher remarked, “I gotta do it in 13 minutes,” at a press conference interview with Apple Music on Thursday. “That makes it a bit difficult.”

He stated that “it’s definitely been a challenge to squeeze 30 years into 13 minutes.”

He continued, “I was very conscious of my past, celebrating my present, which is here in Las Vegas, and considering our future plans.” “That was really the idea.”

The singer of “U Got It Bad” added that fans will “get a chance to see some of what I did here” and that he considered memorable moments from his Las Vegas residency, “like skating.”

“But you’re going to get the best of it because it’s before 60,000 people in this room — and hopefully 180,000 people, 80 million people for the world to see,” he continued.

On Thursday, Usher—who is also starting a North American tour—told Apple Music what he recalls most about performing with the Black Eyed Peas during the 2011 Super Bowl halftime show.

He claimed, “I was held up about thirty feet in the air, and my hand got caught in the wire.” Furthermore, I nearly missed my first mark. “Oh my God, please don’t let this malfunction make me miss something,” I exclaimed.

He did, however, also mention how “amazing” it was to perform in front of a sizable audience and how it stoked his desire to have his own Super Bowl halftime show.

However, what truly drove it was being able to spend that precise moment with the Black Eyed Peas “Said Usher.

Super Bowl LVIII will take place on Sunday between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. Kickoff is scheduled for February 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
