According to reports, christian Horner was accused of inappropriate behavior, and Bernie Ecclestone encouraged him to resign as Red Bull Racing’s CEO and team principal.
Horner has refuted the accusation against him vehemently. The parent company of Red Bull is currently looking into him, and he met with an outside investigator on Friday to provide his version of events. It is recognized that a resolution is unlikely to occur prior to Red Bull Racing’s season opener on February 15.
Despite Horner’s uncertain future, they are still the clear favorites going into the next season. They have been the dominant team in recent years, with Max Verstappen winning three straight world titles.
Adrian Newey, the chief technology officer, is optimistic that this year will see even more success with their new RB20 vehicle. He said on the Talking Bull podcast, “Our car will be very much a third evolution of the ’22 car.”
Ecclestone, the former head of Formula One, is rumored to have pushed Horner to resign. In an effort to “avoid further damage to himself and his family,” the 91-year-old ‘intervened and persuaded his friend to retire,’ according to F1 Insider.
.Regardless of the investigation’s conclusion, Horner and his accuser are both still employed in their current capacities, and Red Bull will be severely hampered going into the 2024 campaign.
