Verdict from a former heavyweight contender on the new Liverpool manager situation

At the end of the current campaign, Jurgen Klopp will depart from Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp just said that this season will be his final one as manager of Liverpool, therefore the team will have a new manager for the upcoming campaign.

After a fantastic nine years at Anfield during which he won numerous accolades, including the Premier League and the Champions League, the German manager will retire in May.

Numerous managers have expressed interest in the position, which is expected to be among the best since it was announced.

The front-runner for the job is Xabi Alonso, who is currently doing well at Bayer Leverkusen, although there are other names involved. Former heavyweight contender and ardent Liverpool supporter David Price has offered his thoughts on the subject.

“There must be someone who can get started right away,” Price told DAZN in a video provided by SevenJackpots.com.

“Liverpool does not have the luxury of time to undergo transitional phases once more. We will be back in the Champions League because we are at the top level.

“Xabi Alonso was an excellent player for Liverpool, but as a manager, I believe he lacks experience. Who else is available, though? It’s difficult. Really, I don’t have a preference.
