I genuinely want him off our squad for the upcoming season since he is past his peak. Irene Onana Name is the Manchester United player that must depart this summer in order for the team to return to its previous level of success. I don’t generally say this, but it’s the reality. Not Rashford, not Antony
The fact is, I believe we should bench him for the upcoming season since he is no longer performing at his peak. Irene Onana This summer, identify the Manchester United player who needs to leave in order for the squad to resume its great run. Did Antony or Rashford have any
Bruno Fernandes continued to perform poorly in the Premier League on Saturday as Manchester United lost to Fulham at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils were defeated by the Cottagers on Sunday after winning five straight games in all competitions. Fulham missed numerous opportunities to score in the first half. However, they took the lead thanks to a powerful shot by Calvin Bassey in the 65th minute gave them the advantage.
Harry Maguire quickly equalized for Manchester United in the 89th minute by tapping in a rebound of Bruno Fernandes’s shot, but Fulham prevailed in the end. Alex Iwobi scored the game-winning goal in the 97th minute following a counterattack. 21 years had passed since Fulham’s last victory at Old Trafford.
Fernandes was one of the United players that appeared to be struggling, while several other players had awful games. Their influence on the events of the final third was lessened. He struggled to toss the ball and lost it 28 times during the game. Out of the eight long passes he made that day, only two passed through without incident.
For the past four years, the 29-year-old has been Manchester United’s primary source of inspiration thanks to his goals and assists. But I believe he may be over his prime based on the way he’s performed this season. He has seven goals and seven assists in 34 games. He has only managed to score three goals and set up five more.
Given Mason Mount’s knee injury, Fernandes has no opponent to play against. However, if Fernandes continues in this direction, his credibility may come under severe scrutiny. The midfield player’s contract expires this summer, thus the team may consider trading him.
It is not a smart idea to give a player a new long-term contract when they have been consistently underperforming in recent months. Numerous injuries have made Mount’s first campaign difficult, but he is prepared to unseat Fernandes as the number-ten in the future.
