Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) has the support of Mick Hennessy, the former promoter of WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs), who believes Oleksandr will defeat his former opponent on May 18.
Hennessey, who has also promoted Carl Froch, Kid Galahad, Lenny Daws, and Chris Eubank Jr., made his prediction on talkSPORT’s “Fight Night.”
Beginning in 2008, Fury’s professional career was managed and promoted by Hennessy. During this time, Fury won world, English, British, Commonwealth, and European titles. The best fight between the two occurred in November 2015 when Fury went to Düsseldorf, Germany, and stopped Wladimir Klitschko, the long-reigning lineal heavyweight champion.
