First, we know that Christian Horner is safe in his role with the team because Red Bull GmbH’s Thai majority shareholders support him. We also know that Max Verstappen’s contract condition, which allows him to leave the company in the event that Helmut Marko exits, is true.
There’s more to that, though, as PlanetF1.com also understands that Verstappen’s contract contains a clause allowing him to leave if Marko’s tenure ends. This clause was allegedly added without Horner or other senior members of the parent company’s knowledge and is attainable through Marko’s role as a director of Red Bull Racing.
But as F1 prepares for this weekend’s Australian Grand Prix, meetings between key Red Bull Racing figures have reportedly resulted in a cooling of emotions, according to PlanetF1.com.
