Re-signing S. Jonathan Abram.
On Wednesday, safety Jonathan Abram was re-signed by the Saints.
After Marcus Maye was cut by the Saints, Abram played in nine games with three starts for the team last season. He will offer much-needed veteran depth. Over Jordan Howden, he began the final two games at strong safety.
In 208 defensive snaps in 2023, Abram, 27, recorded 26 tackles, an interception, a pass defensed, and a forced fumble. He took part in 114 special teams snaps as well.
In 2019, the Raiders selected Abram with the 27th overall pick.
Before hopping around the league in 2022, he spent three seasons as an Oakland Raiders player. He also spent two seasons with the Packers and five with the Seahawks.
Abram has 293 tackles, four interceptions, and fifteen pass breakups in five seasons.
