Breaking News: Novak Djokovic chose Rafael Nadal as his…

Novak Djokovic names Rafael Nadal as his answer despite them ‘not being friends’

Although the two are not friends off the court, Novak Djokovic has stated that he would trust Rafael Nadal with his life. With a record 24 Grand Slam victories under his belt, Djokovic is regarded as one of the all-time greats in tennis.

In the sport, Djokovic has accomplished a great deal. The tennis great who was born in Belgrade is an ace who has won titles and broken records. But Djokovic named Rafael Nadal as the tennis player he would wager his life to win a single set. In an interview on ATP Tennis TV, Djokovic chuckled and added, “Nadal on clay.” I believe that to be evident.

Djokovic has already stated unequivocally that, off the court, he is not pals with either Nadal or fellow “Big Three” player Roger Federer. He stated: “Personally, I would like to [be friends]” in a speech given last year. I mean, it’s evident that our relationship wasn’t the best off-court during our careers.

“But we have shared the stage for so many years,” he continued. And from my perspective, at least, they always have my utmost regard. Thus, I do hope that we will be able to sit down and think one day when the curtains are a little bit closer. Yes, that would be fantastic.

Given that Federer has already retired and that Nadal is anticipated to do the same at the end of the year, Djokovic might not be too far off from that. But Djokovic is still aiming for additional wins, and he doesn’t appear to be slowing down.

Though he hasn’t yet won an ATP event, Djokovic will need to improve on his 2024 start if he wants to accomplish that. Although Djokovic did not participate in the most recent Miami Open, he and coach Goran Ivanisevic recently parted ways as he plans to alter his training regimen in advance of the summer. It remains to be seen if it brings about a turnabout, as Djokovic is anticipated to make his court debut at the Monte-Carlo Masters this month.
