Louis Rees-Zammit’s move to the NFL has placed a spotlight in the United States on not only rugby but also Wales itself, prompting Jason Kelce to quickly retract after claiming Wales is “posh” and full of “rich, upper-class, just beautiful white people”.
Rob McElhenney, Wrexham’s co-owner, then proposed to Kelce that he visit Wales to see for himself. “Extremely wrong. I should show you around someday. I probably know a couple people. “See for yourself.”
Jason Kelce retired from the NFL earlier this year after a 12-year career with the Philadelphia Eagles that included a Super Bowl LII victory and six All-Pro selections.
On their podcast, Rees-Zammit and his famous brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, partner of a certain Taylor Swift, discussed Rees-Zammit’s move, noting his polished appearance and discussing his marketing potential, with Travis Kelce describing Rees-Zammit as “debonair” and “as suave as it gets”.
I've grown to really like Jason Kelce in recent months, he's such a character, but what's on about? Granted, Rees-Zammit is a well-brought up Vale of Glamorgan boy, but I'm not sure the Welsh are considered posh 😄https://t.co/sKntOzX0eG pic.twitter.com/LLkwe4y7Uu
