Given recent developments, Ferrari’s surprising decision to go with a blue livery for the next Miami Grand Prix appears more strategically aligned.
The iconic squad has signed a hefty title sponsorship agreement with HP, a major American technology corporation recognized for its blue emblem. This collaboration has changed Ferrari into Scuderia Ferrari HP, and the cars will soon feature large blue HP emblems alongside their traditional red paint.
This move coincides with Lewis Hamilton’s expected transfer from Mercedes to Ferrari in 2025. Notably, Mercedes is currently backed by HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise), a company closely affiliated with HP.
According to estimates from Italy’s Corriere della Sera, the Ferrari-HP transaction is worth an astonishing 100 million euros.
In unrelated sponsorship news, Visa’s introduction into Formula One with Red Bull and its accompanying junior team has prompted Mastercard to pursue similar chances in the sport. According to Sport Business, McLaren is considered the most likely prospect to earn a sponsorship deal with Mastercard, ahead of three other “top teams.”
