Legendary cricketer Kevin Pietersen of England has demanded an apology from the Australian government to Novak Djokovic after the latter’s expulsion in 2022. After a dramatic ordeal, Djokovic was expelled from Australia for refusing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Pietersen further asserted that Djokovic was “onto something” for not wanting to have a vaccination against the virus. Following the announcement that the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine was being withdrawn from distribution, he took to social media platform X.
Due to a drop in demand brought on by new vaccinations that more closely resemble the mutated strains of the COVID-19 virus that are now circulating, AstraZeneca has halted the vaccine’s production and distribution. Rarely, the vaccination resulted in blood clots that might be lethal.
Pietersen, a former batsman for England, feels that the Australian government need to apologize to Djokovic. Prior to the Australian Open in 2022, the 24-time Grand Slam champion was controversially deported.

Djokovic entered Australia unvaccinated while the country was enduring tough border restrictions during the pandemic. He initially believed that he had been granted a medical exemption to defend his title in Melbourne.
