La Liga giants Real Madrid have been dealt an altogether considerable blow on the personnel front, ahead of the upcoming Champions League final.
As much came after the 24-year-old was forced into a premature departure from Real Madrid’s Champions League semi-final 2nd-leg showdown with Bayern Munich.
Following medical testing, Tchouaméni was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his foot, leaving his participation in next month’s championship conclusion uncertain. Contrasting claims have now circulated regarding his progress, with some claiming that the former Monaco player was making excellent improvements, while others claimed that his appearance against Borussia Dortmund had been all but ruled out. Unfortunately for both the club and the player, only the latter has been confirmed today.
As per a report from Madrid-based newspaper Marca: ‘Aurélien Tchouaméni will not arrive in time to play in the Champions League final.’ Though the Frenchman is doing everything he can to regain health as soon as possible, June 1st’s display will just be too soon. Tchouaméni’s focus has therefore already switched towards assuring his availability for France’s opening encounter at Euro 2024.
