Joe Joyce, warns Anthony Joshua after a fierce sparring session with Francis Ngannou

On Friday, March 8, Joshua fights the former UFC fighter in Saudi Arabia.

In the highly awaited bout between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou, Joe Joyce has cautioned Joshua to be prepared for the “wild card.”

In Saudi Arabia on Friday, March 8, the former UFC heavyweight world champion will square off against the British boxer, who made a strong professional boxing debut in October against Tyson Fury.

The Cameroonian boxer put a lot of pressure on the current WBC champion, who prevailed by a slim margin in a split decision.

With a 17-3 record as a mixed martial artist, Ngannou will now face Anthony Joshua, one of the best heavyweight fighters in the world, to continue his boxing career.

Joyce, who fought Ngannou in 2020, demonstrated his striking strength and cautioned his fellow Brit to be prepared for a serious test.

He was a little bit more open because he fights mixed martial arts and hasn’t been focusing much on boxing, so I was able to get out of the way and keep him on the jab, Joyce told Sky Sports. However, in the process, [his] power shots were whistling past my chin and my stomach!

We had an excellent spar, and I have the utmost regard for Ngannou. I don’t think Joshua will recover from that if he lands one of those huge ones like he did to Fury.

“He did a great job of boxing against Fury. It’s an incredible tale. reached the pinnacles of the UFC and faced off against Tyson Fury, who was undoubtedly the finest and made a serious challenge to him. He’s a little unpredictable.

When Joshua fights Fury on May 18, he hopes to extend his winning streak to three fights and get back to his best form after losing back-to-back against Oleksandr Usyk.

In December, the 34-year-old London fighter defeated Otto Wallin in Riyadh.
